Adjustable beds require flexible mattresses designed to bend with the mechanism. Pocket sprung mattresses with flexible borders, memory foam, and latex mattresses all work well. Traditional open coil or firm orthopaedic mattresses are not suitable as they cannot flex properly. We offer a range of compatible mattresses specifically designed for adjustable beds.

Standard mechanisms support users up to 18st (115kg) with a 60mm frame depth and 45,000N motor. Heavy Duty mechanisms support up to 25st (160kg) with a 70mm frame, thicker slats, reinforced plastic housings, and upgraded German motors for enhanced durability and smoother operation.

Yes! King (5ft) and Super King (6ft) adjustable beds use a zip & link system with two separate mechanisms and mattresses. Each partner has their own remote control and can adjust their side independently. The beds can also be separated into two singles if needed.

Adjustable beds require a standard UK 13amp plug socket positioned within 2 metres of the bed. For King and Super King sizes, two sockets are required (one for each mechanism). We recommend avoiding extension leads for permanent installations.
